Application
The drum-type biomass carbonization furnace is used to process carbon-containing wood materials (pellets with a diameter of less than 15 mm), such as coconut shells, fruit shells, peach shells, apricot shells, sawdust, rice husks, peanut shells, plant straws, and bark. It is an ideal equipment for kiln distillation, oxygen-free carbonization, and achieving a high carbonization rate under high-temperature conditions in the furnace.
Working Principle
1. When the drum carbonization furnace starts to heat up, an external heat source is needed. After the temperature rises and carbonization proceeds normally, the external heat source is turned off, and the furnace gas generated is directed outside the furnace barrel through the purification system for spontaneous combustion heating.
External heating methods include:
Fuel heating
Using the hot air flow generated by the reverberatory furnace to burn the carbonization furnace for heating.
Using a gasification furnace device to ignite the biomass. The flue gas generated by the gasification furnace is recovered, purified, and cooled into combustible gas, which is then used to burn the carbonization furnace for heating. (The raw materials become carbonized carbon powder through the carbon powder output equipment of the carbonization furnace, and the combustible gas is recycled through the wood tar recovery device).
2. When the carbonization furnace reaches a certain temperature, the raw materials inside begin to carbonize. The flue gas generated by carbonization is purified and cooled into flammable gas, serving as the heat source for carbonization. At this point, the reverberatory furnace heating or gasification furnace gas production device stops working, and the preliminary heating process ends.
3. A new drum carbonization furnace typically completes carbonization in 0.5-4 hours of operation and can be used for continuous production. During the production process, the temperature in the drying zone can reach 200-300°C, and the temperature in the carbonization zone can reach 600-900°C.
