Working Principle of the Hazelnut Cracker Machine
The roller inside the machine applies pressure to nuts of the same size, effectively breaking their hard shells.
Clean kernels are then separated and collected through the vibrating screen.
To process nuts of varying sizes, they should first be sorted by size.
Only nuts of the same size should be fed into the machine at one time to ensure efficient shelling and avoid damage.

How to Adjust the Hazelnut Cracker Machine
The nut cracker machine offers high-efficiency shelling performance, and the roller gap can be adjusted to accommodate different nut sizes. Since apricot kernels (or other nuts) vary in size, the shelling process should be done in stages - starting with a wider gap for larger kernels, followed by narrower gaps for smaller ones.

For best results, the roller gap should be set 1–1.5 mm smaller than the flat diameter of the kernel.
For example:

Large apricot kernels: approx. 15 mm

Medium kernels: approx. 12 mm

Small kernels: approx. 9 mm

Adjustment Process:

First pass: Set the roller gap to around 14 mm to crack the large kernels. Smaller kernels will pass through uncracked.

Grading screen: Below the machine, a grading sieve separates cracked kernels from uncracked ones.

Second pass: Adjust the roller gap to 11 mm to shell the medium-sized kernels.

Third pass: Reduce the roller gap to 8 mm to shell the remaining smaller kernels.

This step-by-step adjustment ensures higher shelling efficiency and minimizes kernel damage.
