Recently, our twin-screw press was successfully put into production in the deep processing project of yam and sweet potato, solving the pain points of difficult dehydration and high processing cost of potato residues faced by customers for a long time, helping them to realize waste resource utilization, and gaining high recognition from customers.
This customer uses yam and sweet potato as raw materials to produce starch and deep-processed products, and produces a large amount of wet residue (water content of about 75%-80%) every day. Traditional pressing equipment has problems such as low dehydration rate, easy clogging, and high energy consumption.
✅ Efficient dehydration: Using a twin-screw pressing structure, the moisture content of yam residue after dehydration is ≤65%, and the sweet potato residue is ≤62%, which significantly reduces the subsequent drying cost.
✅ Wear-resistant design: The surface of the spiral blade is welded with hard alloy to cope with the wear of high-fiber materials and extend the life by 3 times.
✅ Intelligent control: variable frequency speed regulation + hydraulic pressure regulation, adapt to different material characteristics and avoid clogging.
The versatility of the twin-screw press in potato processing, fruit and vegetable residue treatment, and biomass waste dehydration has been successfully applied to:
• Dehydration of waste residue from potato starch plants
• Pressing of peels and pomace in juice plants
• Pretreatment of restaurant waste
• Juicing of fruits and vegetables
