Electric Wood Chipper

The disc electric wood chipper is a high-quality machine widely used in the preparation stages of papermaking, particleboard production, medium-density fiberboard manufacturing, and other industrial processes, as well as standalone wood chip production. It can process wood with a diameter of 400mm or less, cutting it into uniform wood chips of the same length. It can also cut hard materials and boards. The feeding inlet is available in two types: flat feeding and inclined feeding. This machine is suitable for pulp mills, forestry yards, paper mills, particleboard factories, fiberboard plants, and wood chip production facilities.

The disc chipper consists of a body, a knife roll, upper and lower feed rollers, a conveyor belt, and a hydraulic system. The body, made of high-strength welded steel plates, provides the structural support for the entire machine. Two, three, or four flying knives are mounted on the knife roll, secured by a pressure block using specially manufactured bolts.

The upper feed roller assembly can float up and down within a certain range, controlled by the hydraulic system, to accommodate materials of varying thickness. Cut pieces fall through the screen holes and are discharged from the bottom, while larger pieces are recut inside the machine.

Wood is fed into the machine through the feed port. As the wood comes into contact with the cutting blade, it is cut by the high-speed rotation of the blade. The resulting wood chips are further refined in the cutting chamber, and the high-speed airflow generated during the process carries the wood chips out of the machine.
