The machine consists of a body, knife roller, upper and lower feeding rollers, conveyor belt, hydraulic system, and other parts. The machine body is made of welded steel plates and is the supporting foundation of the entire machine. Two, three, or four flying knives are installed on the knife roller, and the flying knife bolts are used to fix the flying knives on the knife roller through the pressure block. According to the different thicknesses of the raw materials to be cut, the upper feeding roller assembly can float up and down within a certain range with the help of the hydraulic system. The cut-qualified pieces will fall through the screen holes and be discharged from the bottom. Large pieces will be cut in the machine.

 

Classification of wood drum chipper machine

Wood drum chipper machines come in two categories: fixed and mobile. The fixed type is mostly used in factories; the mobile type is generally used in forest farms and mountainous areas. According to the structure of the working parts, it is divided into two types: drum chipper and disc chipper. According to the feeding method, there are two types: oblique feeding and flat feeding.

1. The drum chipper is mainly used to cut branches, small-diameter wood, boards, laths, etc. with a diameter or thickness of less than 120 mm. The cut wood chips are used as raw materials for fiberboard and pulp. The cutting mechanism is a rotating drum with several flying knives installed on it. When the flying knives rotate, the wood is processed into craft wood chips. There are multiple square through holes on the outer edge of the drum, which can allow the wood chips to be discharged smoothly; the feeding mechanism consists of a feeding interface, upper and lower feeding rollers, and a feeding gap adjustment mechanism. The wood entering from the feeding interface is moved by the upper and lower feeding rollers. Press and feed to the cutting mechanism at a certain speed to control the size of the cutting wood chips; when processing thick wood, it is adjusted by the feeding gap adjustment mechanism.
