Colloid Mill Grinder

Except for the motor and some parts of the colloid mill grinder product, all parts in contact with the material are made of stainless steel. The main structure of the colloid mill grinder consists of three parts: the grinding head component, the base transmission part, and the motor. Among them, the combination of movable grinding disc, static grinding disc, and mechanical seal in the middle part of the machine is the key part of the machine. The motor needs to be designed according to different models, and a water retaining plate is installed on the flange end of the motor to prevent leakage.

The colloid mill grinder is driven by an electric motor through a belt drive to rotate the rotating teeth (or rotor) and the matching fixed teeth (or stator) in relative rotation. One of them rotates and the other is stationary. The material to be processed passes through its own weight or external Pressure (which can be generated by a pump) and produces a downward spiral impact force. When passing through the gap between the fixed and rotating teeth (the gap is adjustable), it is subjected to physical effects such as large shear force, friction, vibration, vortex, etc., causing the material to be emulsified, dispersed, refined, and pulverized, and the material is finely pulverized and emulsified.

 

Compared with the pressure mass press, the colloid mill is first of all a centrifugal equipment. Its advantages are simple structure, convenient equipment maintenance, and it is suitable for materials with higher viscosity and larger particles. Its main disadvantage is also determined by its structure. First of all, due to centrifugal motion, the flow rate is not constant, which corresponds to the large change in the flow rate for materials with the same viscosity. For example, when the same equipment handles viscous paint materials and thin milk fluids, the flow rate can differ by more than 10 times; secondly, due to the friction between the rotor and the material, it is easy to generate a large amount of heat, causing being processed material is denatured; thirdly, the surface is easier to wear, and after wear, the refinement effect will be significantly reduced.
