A trading company from Chile contacted Shuliy after finding our plastic recycling equipment through Google. The customer regularly travels to China for business and was purchasing recycling machinery on behalf of their end customer.
The project required a plastic granulator machine for processing aquaculture floats, along with an EPS granulator machine and several auxiliary machines. Customer Requirements
The customer initially requested a plastic granulation line with a capacity of 100 kg/h. After further discussions, the required capacity was increased to 200 kg/h to better meet the end customer's production needs.
The main requirements included:
200 kg/h hard plastic granulator: Designed to process hard plastic materials recovered from aquaculture floats.
EPS granulator machine: For recycling EPS foam materials.
Hydraulic cutting machine: To cut plastic materials into smaller pieces before further processing.
Plastic pulverizer: To grind plastic granules into fine powder for subsequent applications.
Enhanced washing system: The customer emphasized that the raw materials were heavily contaminated and requested a more comprehensive cleaning solution.
As the customer's raw material photos were not readily available, confirming the exact material characteristics was an important part of the initial communication.
Our Customized Solution
1. Adjusting the Production Capacity
Based on the customer's updated requirements, we revised the quotation from 100 kg/h to 200 kg/h. This allowed the proposed equipment configuration to better match the end customer's intended processing capacity.
2. Upgrading the Washing System
One of the customer's main concerns was the high level of dirt and contamination on the aquaculture floats. To address this concern, we updated the quotation to include a double-tank washing system.
This configuration was proposed to strengthen the washing stage and provide a more suitable solution for the customer's contaminated raw materials. The final cleaning performance would depend on the actual material composition and contamination level.
3. Providing Multiple Machines from One Supplier
In addition to the hard plastic granulator and EPS granulator, the customer also requested a hydraulic cutting machine and a plastic pulverizer.

Factory Visit and Customer Communication
The Chilean customer arranged a factory visit but had a very tight schedule, with approximately 30 minutes available at the factory.
During the visit, the customer inspected the available equipment and took photos to share with the end customer. Although the visit was brief, it provided an opportunity to see the actual machinery and learn more about our manufacturing capabilities.
The customer commented that our prices were comparable to those of other suppliers. However, our relatively complete product range offered an important advantage: most of the required machines could be sourced from one supplier, making the purchasing process more convenient.
This feedback reinforced the value of offering a complete equipment solution rather than focusing only on the price of a single machine.

Throughout the communication process, the customer was often busy and could not always provide the requested raw material photos or confirm equipment dimensions promptly.
To keep the project moving, we searched for reference images of similar aquaculture floats online and sent them to the customer for confirmation. This helped us continue discussing the material and equipment requirements while waiting for the customer's own photos.
We also revised the quotation several times as the customer's requirements became clearer, including the production capacity adjustment and the addition of a double-tank washing system.
