A client from Chile visited our factory seeking a suitable solution for recycling used aquaculture pontoons. These pontoons consist of two distinct materials: an outer layer of EPS foam and an inner core of rigid HDPE plastic.
Given the differing properties of these materials, the client required two separate pelletizing lines to process them. The goal was to recycle both materials and convert the waste into reusable plastic pellets.

Based on the client's raw materials and processing requirements, we recommended two pelletizing lines: one for rigid HDPE plastic and another for EPS foam. Each line has a capacity of 200 kg/h, providing a tailored processing solution for each material. As the recovered pontoons were heavily soiled, we incorporated a dual-tank washing system into the lines to enhance the quality of the final product.
This configuration allows the client to process the two components of the aquaculture pontoons separately, ensuring the recycling process is perfectly aligned with the specific characteristics of each material.
During the factory visit, the client was able to inspect the equipment firsthand. Fortunately, we had units in stock, allowing the client to view the actual machinery and examine its structure and configuration before placing an order.

After discussing project details, the client requested custom equipment colors. We accommodated this preference, giving the machinery a more personalized appearance.
We look forward to assisting the client in recycling the EPS foam and HDPE plastic from the aquaculture pontoons and transforming this waste into reusable plastic pellets.
