A customer from Indonesia recently purchased a customized metal briquetting machine solution for processing metal scrap. The customer was an intermediary sourcing equipment for an end user who already had experience using three Japanese machines.
The end user's raw materials included metal chips and longer metal pieces, with a required processing capacity of approximately 1 ton per hour. Based on the customer's existing equipment, raw materials, and production requirements, we adjusted the equipment configuration several times and provided a customized solution.
Customer Background
The Indonesian customer was an intermediary helping an end user purchase metal recycling equipment.
The end user already had three Japanese machines and therefore had practical experience with metal scrap processing equipment. This meant that the customer had relatively clear requirements regarding machine performance, feeding, processing capacity, and overall equipment configuration.
The main raw materials included:
Metal chips
Long metal scrap
Other metal processing residues
The target processing capacity was approximately 1 ton per hour.
Initial Metal Briquetting Machine Solution
After receiving the customer's raw material information and production requirements, we initially recommended a metal briquetting machine manufactured in Gongyi.
As the project developed, the customer provided additional information about the existing equipment and requested a suitable feeding system.
Based on these requirements, we recommended a feeder and conveyor system to provide a more stable feeding process.
After reviewing the customer's existing Japanese equipment, we also adjusted the proposed machine configuration and quotation to a machine manufactured in Jiangyin. Although the updated solution was slightly more expensive, the customer accepted the adjustment because the equipment better matched the project requirements.
Adding a Shredder for Long Metal Scrap
The customer also needed to process longer pieces of metal scrap.
During the technical discussion, we explained that the material entering the subsequent equipment needed to be controlled to approximately 5 cm or less.
We therefore recommended a metal shredder as a pre-processing machine.
At first, we recommended an 800-type shredder, but the customer felt that this model was too large for the project. We then introduced smaller options, including 400-type and 600-type shredders.
After comparing the available options, the customer selected the 400-type shredder.
This adjustment allowed the equipment configuration to better match the customer's actual material size and processing requirements instead of simply choosing a larger machine.

Customized Equipment After the Factory Visit
The customer later visited our factory to inspect the equipment and discuss the project face-to-face.
During the factory visit, the customer raised several additional requirements.
Feeder With Lifting System
The customer wanted the feeding system to include a lifting mechanism. Based on this requirement, we adjusted the feeder configuration and added the necessary lifting equipment.
Water Cooling System
The customer also requested a cooling solution for the metal briquetting machine. We therefore added a water-cooling system to the equipment configuration.
Safety Screen
The customer was concerned that tools or other foreign objects could accidentally fall into the machine during operation.
To address this concern, we added a protective screen to the relevant feeding area, providing an additional safety measure for the equipment.
These adjustments were discussed directly with the customer so that the final equipment could better fit the actual working environment.
Exploring Additional Metal Recycling Equipment
During the factory visit, the customer also became interested in metal crushing equipment.
Fortunately, our factory was located close to equipment related to metal scrap processing, including metal briquetting equipment. We took the customer to view the relevant machines and introduced their applications.
The customer was satisfied with the equipment and planned to bring the end user back for another factory visit to further discuss the metal crushing solution.
This also created an opportunity to discuss additional equipment for the customer's future metal recycling projects.
Factory Visit Builds Customer Confidence
The factory visit played an important role in this project.
Because the end user already had experience with Japanese equipment, the customer wanted to understand the actual manufacturing quality and configuration of the proposed machines.
During the visit, the customer was able to:
Inspect the equipment in person
Discuss technical requirements directly with our team
Review different machine configurations
Visit related metal recycling equipment
Discuss customized equipment requirements
Confirm solutions for feeding, cooling, and safety
The face-to-face communication helped the customer better understand the equipment and increased confidence in the proposed solution.
Layout Design Based on the Customer's Factory
After confirming the equipment configuration, the customer also requested a factory layout drawing.
Instead of providing a generic layout, we asked the customer to provide the dimensions of their existing workshop.
Based on the customer's actual factory dimensions and the selected equipment, we prepared a customized layout plan.
This helped the customer better understand how the metal recycling equipment could be arranged within the available workshop space and provided a reference for subsequent installation and production planning.

Why Did the Customer Choose Our Metal Briquetting Machine?
Equipment Matched the Actual Requirements
The customer's raw materials included both metal chips and longer metal scrap, so a single machine could not address every processing requirement directly.
We adjusted the solution according to the material characteristics and added a shredder for the longer metal pieces.
The final equipment configuration was therefore based on the customer's actual production process rather than a standard package.
Detailed Technical Communication
The customer raised many technical questions during the project, including feeding, material size, cooling, foreign-object protection, and workshop layout.
We responded to these requirements individually and adjusted the equipment configuration where necessary.
This helped the customer understand how the proposed system would work in their actual production environment.
Factory Inspection
The customer personally visited the factory and inspected the equipment.
Seeing the machines in person and communicating directly with the technical team provided a clearer understanding of the equipment than online communication alone.
The factory visit also allowed us to discuss additional equipment requirements face-to-face.
Customized Problem Solving
One of the important aspects of this project was the continuous adjustment of the solution.
From the initial metal briquetting machine to the feeding system, shredder, cooling system, safety screen, and factory layout, the equipment configuration was modified according to the customer's specific requirements.
This allowed us to provide a more practical solution for the end user's metal scrap processing operation.
Final Equipment Solution
Based on the discussions and factory inspection, the customized solution included:
Metal Briquetting Machine
Feeder
Conveyor
Lifting System
400-Type Metal Shredder
Water Cooling System
Protective Screen
Customized Factory Layout
The equipment was configured around a target processing capacity of approximately 1 ton per hour, while the shredder was used to reduce longer metal scrap to a suitable size before further processing.
Order Result
After several rounds of technical communication, equipment adjustments, and a factory inspection, the Indonesian customer confirmed the equipment solution and paid a deposit.
The customer also requested a customized workshop layout based on the actual factory dimensions.
In addition to the purchased equipment, the customer showed interest in other metal recycling machinery and planned to bring the end user back for further discussion about a metal crushing solution.
