The method of using cattle and sheep licking bricks is as follows:
1. Please deworm cattle and sheep one by one before using licking bricks;
2. The licking bricks should not be placed too high. It is suitable for sheep to be 20 to 30 centimeters from the ground, and for cattle to be 30 to 50 centimeters from the ground. If possible, a brick licking box can be configured to help maintain the integrity of the licking bricks.
3. The number of bricks to be licked is distributed according to the number of cattle and sheep raised. It is appropriate to have one piece for 5 to 10 sheep and one piece for 3 to 4 cows. It should be ensured that every livestock can lick it as much as possible.
4. Keep the surface of the licking bricks clean and free of fecal matter. Clean the surface of the licking bricks once every 2-3 days. Goats, in particular, are relatively clean animals. If the licking bricks are contaminated, the licking effect will be affected.
5. Licking bricks should be placed as far as possible where water sources and livestock often gather. The water sources should be kept clean and replaced every day in summer and every three days in winter.
6. When using licking bricks, do not add additional salt or the salt in the feed should not be higher than 0.1, otherwise it may easily lead to sodium chloride poisoning in cattle and sheep.
