Plastic Washing Line is the core equipment in waste plastic recycling systems, specially designed for cleaning PET bottles, PE/PP films, and other plastic waste materials to meet recycled pelletizing standards.
1. Working Principle & Processing Flow
. Pre-treatment Stage:
Large plastic materials such as bottles and films are shredded or crushed into smaller flakes by shredders or crushers. Sorting equipment including magnetic separators and air classifiers removes metals and lightweight impurities.
. Washing Stage:
The friction washer uses high-speed rotating screw blades to scrub dirt and contaminants from plastic surfaces. Rinsing tanks flush away remaining impurities through continuous water circulation, while hot washing tanks or chemical cleaning systems effectively remove oil stains and stubborn contaminants with hot water or detergents.
. Post-treatment Stage:
A centrifugal dewatering machine removes excess moisture through high-speed spinning, followed by a hot air drying system that further dries the plastic flakes, reducing the final moisture content to below 5%.
2. Common Types & Suitable Materials
. PET Bottle Washing Line:
Suitable for processing PET plastic bottles such as mineral water bottles, beverage bottles, and cola bottles. The production process usually includes label removing, crushing, sink-float separation, hot washing, friction washing, rinsing, dewatering, and drying.
. PE/PP Film Washing Line:
Designed for agricultural films, packaging films, woven bags, and similar materials. It is especially suitable for flexible plastic products with thicknesses ranging from approximately 1–25 mm. The system adopts a water circulation design to effectively control water consumption and evaporation loss.
. Other Plastic Washing Lines:
Can also process HDPE, PS, and other plastic materials. The washing process can be customized according to material characteristics and production requirements. For example, hazardous chemical plastic drums require more intensive cleaning technology and specialized cleaning solutions.
