If you have your own tractor, we recommend using a tractor-drawn (towed) transplanter. These can be equipped with additional attachments for functions such as rotary tilling, fertilizing, ridging, plastic mulching, laying irrigation tape, watering, and spraying. If you do not have a tractor, you can choose a self-propelled transplanter, available in either wheeled or crawler (tracked) versions.
What vegetables do you want to transplant?
Demand is generally highest for transplanting chili peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, and onions; specialized machines are also available for transplanting pineapples and tobacco.
How many rows do you want to transplant at a time?
Transplanter is typically available in 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12-row configurations; you can select the appropriate model based on your requirements.
Row-to-row and plant-to-plant spacing?
Transplanters are fully customizable machines; knowing your crop's plant spacing and row spacing is necessary to customize the machine's dimensions.
Is your land located on plains, in hilly areas, or in a greenhouse?
Crawler-type transplanters are suitable for hilly terrain as they offer easy maneuverability and perform well with crops requiring narrow row and plant spacing, such as baby cabbage, broccoli, and onions. For greenhouse cultivation, sufficient turning radius and clearance between the field edge and the greenhouse structure must be allowed to facilitate machine movement.
